Job Summary:
We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our team and help us keep our company competitive and innovative. The role is to ensure the smooth running of the company and help to improve the company’s operations. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, maintaining a positive relationship with all our customers, managing customer queries, business development and supervising operations. Your role will be to ensure that all business operations are running optimally to achieve its objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to visitors and stakeholders.
- Monitor production to ensure quality control.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports to the management team.
- Report to directors on stock levels, issues etc.
- Oversee and record daily deliveries.
- Place orders to replenish stocks avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Ensuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Work with the accounts team to ensure all payments are received on time.
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Develop new business with existing clients (up sell and cross-sell) and/or identify areas of improvement.
- Development of new accounts.
- Recognize customer needs and provide insights for improving the product portfolio based on interactions with and feedback from customers.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Swahili.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular), experience in Tally a plus.
- Ability to track inventory accurately and create reports.
- An analytical mind with good math skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
