Job Summary
The
Mining Relationship Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining
strong relationships with miners and mining cooperatives to ensure a steady and
compliant supply of gold to the refinery. This role involves business
development, negotiation, and client management, with a focus on sourcing gold
responsibly and ethically from small, medium, and large-scale miners.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with
gold miners, mining communities, cooperatives, and suppliers.
- Engage with miners to
understand their issues and solve them accordingly.
- Develop strategies to
increase the supply base of artisanal and industrial miners.
- Promote the refinery's
services and value proposition to prospective suppliers.
- Maintain ongoing
communication with mining partners to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Build trust with miners
by understanding their challenges and providing practical solutions or
incentives.
- Organize and attend
meetings, site visits, and field trips to mining areas.
- Lead negotiations on
pricing, terms, and volume commitments with miners.
- Ensure contracts are
fair, transparent, and aligned with company standards and regulatory
requirements.
- Work with the compliance
team to ensure all sourcing activities follow national and international
regulations.
- Monitor and report any
potential risks associated with sourcing gold from certain areas.
- Provide regular reports
on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Track volumes, costs, and
miner feedback to improve sourcing strategies.
