Job Summary
Our Client is looking for an Operations Coordinator who will be in charge of the fleet operations, and overseeing vehicle activities. Your duties include dispatching fleet drivers to deliver loads, planning driving schedules, and updating driving routes.
Job Responsibilities
- To oversee all
aspects of vehicle management, including safety, training, and finance.
- Assigning tasks to
employees/subordinates
- Receive the
trucking orders internally and externally.
- Tracking of
shipments and deliveries
- Coordinating
safety training for staff within the department
- Working closely
with the Head Driver to coordinate the driver management process
- Monitoring the
transportation efficiency and performance and look for ways to improve
productivity.
- Ensure systems
such as BLP are updated regularly and completely.
- Ensure that the
customer reports and internal daily reports are shared as per the given
schedules.
- Eliminating
operational errors and thereby bringing down extra costs.
- Coordinating and
ensuring recovery of vehicles from Accidents
- Coordinating with
workshop and resources at breakdown/accident site to resolve breakdowns
and resume the journey at shortest possible time.
- Liaise with the
traffic police and other regulatory bodies to resolve any issues that may
arise during operations.
- To monitor
transportation budget as per the plan
- Schedule, route,
maintain, and track transport vehicles.
- Resolve disputes
among the subordinates.
Requirements
- A Degree in any relevant
discipline
- Minimum 3 Years Experience in Transport /Logistics (managing or coordinating a fleet of 100+
trucks)
- MS Office Skills
(Esp., Excel, Word and PPT)
- Excellent
Communication Skills
- Proven Experience in
working with Logistics ERP systems
