Job Summary
Our client, who is in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all HR functions to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and corporate policies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, promoting employee engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company’s business goals.
Provide strategic guidance to management on workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from job posting and interviews to onboarding.
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet organizational needs.
Coordinate employee induction programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
Act as the primary contact for employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven work environment.
Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
Identify skills gaps and design training and development programs to enhance employee performance.
Manage the performance appraisal process and support fair, transparent evaluations.
Collaborate with department heads to set performance goals and monitor progress.
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, occupational safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
Manage relations with regulatory bodies and support audits or inspections.
Supervise payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate disbursement.
Review and recommend competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as NSSF, WCF, and PAYE.
Utilize HR systems for data management and reporting.
Prepare HR reports on workforce analytics, turnover, and other key metrics.
Safeguard the confidentiality and security of employee information.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws, HR policies, and employment regulations.
Proven expertise in employee development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems (HRIS, payroll tools, etc.).
Added Advantage: Prior experience in the petroleum, oil & gas, or energy sector.
