Our Client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform mechanical maintenance, equipment assembly, machine setting, and mechanical troubleshooting within the production plant. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical systems and a focus on minimizing downtime, ensuring operational safety, and maintaining equipment reliability through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, machine assembly, and fitment tasks across the plant.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, equipment, and utility systems.
- Maintain and update a list of necessary machine spare parts and promptly inform the Maintenance Manager.
- Work towards minimizing downtime, with a target of achieving zero equipment stoppage.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to tools, machines, and mechanical parts.
- Secure proper work permits before commencing high-risk tasks (e.g., working at heights, on roofs, or in intricate machine areas).
- Keep accurate documentation of daily and weekly preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures while handling machines, tools, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure thorough housekeeping and cleanliness of the machine, equipment, and working area upon completion of maintenance tasks.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
