Our client, a leading company in the mining and gold processing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead and oversee its mining, exploration, gold processing, and public relations activities. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in mining operations, gold processing, and stakeholder management. The Plant Manager will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving operational excellence to achieve business growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of mining, exploration, and gold processing operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  
• Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and assess new mining opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  
• Ensure compliance with local and international mining regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  
• Lead and supervise technical and operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  
• Manage budgets effectively, optimizing resources and prioritizing cost-effective solutions.
  
• Maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships, including local communities, regulatory authorities, and business partners.
  
• Drive improvements in gold processing techniques, ensuring the efficient use of equipment and materials.
  
• Analyze production data and operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  
• Address operational challenges promptly with effective problem-solving and decision-making strategies.
  
• Oversee public relations activities, ensuring effective communication and positive engagement with local communities and stakeholders.
  
  

Requirements

• A degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
  
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mining and exploration or gold processing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  
• In-depth knowledge of gold processing techniques and mining equipment.
  
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and implement cost-saving measures.
  
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and engage with stakeholders effectively.
  
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  
• Experience working in Tanzania or similar regions is highly preferred.
  
• Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks and community dynamics.
  
• Fluency in Swahili is an added advantage.
