Job Summary:
Our client, a mining industry company, is seeking a Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance Manager to oversee and implement the company's HR policies, including recruitment, performance appraisal, training, and development. The role also involves managing employee records, handling legal compliance with labor laws, statutory returns, and work permits, as well as ensuring adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations and other relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the company’s Human Resources Management Policy.
- Responsible for Human Resources Planning and Organization Chart .
- Coordinating recruitment, selection and orientation of new employees.
- Drafting and administering employment contracts and job descriptions..
- Maintaining and updating employee records, documents and files.
- Coordinating staff performance appraisal, training and development.
- Ensuring compliance to monthly statutory returns (NSSF, PAYE, WCF).
- Handling employee disciplinary procedure and labour dispute matters.
- Preparing company’s Consolidated Annual Human Resources Report.
- Liaising with various government authorities on compliance matters.
- Identifying and mitigating areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Advising management on regulatory statutory compliance matters.
- Ensuring compliance to annual statutory filings at labour dept.
- Ensuring compliance to Immigration and Work Permit guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance to Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Act and WCF.
- Ensuring compliance to Employment and Labour Relations guidelines.
- Ensure Compliance to NEMC, Mining Commission and other regulatory authorities.
