Our client, a leading supplier of high-quality mining products, is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage financial records, ensure tax and regulatory compliance, handle payroll, and oversee banking transactions. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge, tax expertise, and experience in financial reporting.

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and accounts, ensuring timely posting of transactions and reconciliation of accounts, as well as performing stock and debtor reconciliation.
  
• Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with TRA regulations, ensure familiarity with TRA systems such as eFiling and VAT returns, stay updated on tax laws, and ensure the organization meets all statutory obligations.
  
• Ensure adherence to Tanzanian financial regulations and company policies while liaising with regulatory authorities as required.
  
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory deductions, including handling NSSF registration and withdrawals.
  
• Monitor cash flow, manage bank transactions (experience in handling bank transactions is mandatory), and reconcile bank statements monthly.
  
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensure timely completion of audits, and implement audit recommendations as required.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (T) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional accounting experience in Tanzania.
  
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and accounting standards.
  
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Strong communication skills in English and Swahili.
