• Strategic Technical Leadership: Develop and implement technical strategies to improve the performance and reliability of factory operations. Lead innovation initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime
  
• Engineering Oversight: Supervise and manage all technical operations, including machinery maintenance, conveyor systems, and decortication processes. Solve recurring issues such as conveyor belt misalignment with sustainable solutions.
  
• Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage a team of engineers and technicians. Establish a knowledge-sharing culture to upskill in-house staff.
  
• System Optimization: Conduct regular audits and implement preventative maintenance plans. Ensure compliance with operational standards and safety regulations.
  
• 5Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the GM and management team to align technical goals with business objectives. Liaise with equipment suppliers and consultants to implement best practices.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  
• At least 8 years of experience in industrial or agricultural manufacturing environments, with 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role.
  
• Expertise in conveyor belt systems, decortication machinery, and alignment technologies.
  
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.
  
• Excellent leadership and team management skills. • Ability to work on-site full-time in Tanga, Tanzania.
