Job Summary:
Our client, an International catering company is looking for a Chef
to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working
collaboratively with the Sous Chefs and Kitchen Staff as well as studying
recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. Also, should be
able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a
timely manner. The ideal candidate should also have extensive knowledge of food
sanitation and safety.
Location: Worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Direct,
prepare or supervise cooking and other food preparation activities daily.
- Monitor
and oversee sanitation practices to ensure that regulations and standards of
cleanliness are always being strictly adhered to by employees. Make corrections
when standards are not being followed.
- Supervise
Cooks and assist as needed.
- Slightly
modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests.
- Monitor
food stock and place orders.
- Check
freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
- Experiment
with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
- Ensure
compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Assisting in hiring new cooks and
trainers.
- Providing the new hires with necessary
training sessions.
- Resolving customer's complaints and
issues in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Working experience as a Chef de Cuisine,
Chef, or a related role in the Hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of various kinds of cuisines
would be an added advantage.
- Ability to prepare numerous meals and
dishes.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to manage the budget to ensure
profitability.
- Excellent oral and written communication
skills.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership
skills.
- Ability to recreate new dishes based on
season’s availability.
- Ability to offer outstanding customer
service.
- Ability to run the kitchen smoothly.
- A keen eye for details for accuracy.
