Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Management and responsibility over all NCL stores (inclusive of kitchen store).
- Clear understanding of and familiarity with stock items, stock accounting, and reasonable stock movements.
- Preparation, processing, and management of weekly and emergency orders to Arusha procurement and local suppliers, to maintain an adequate supply of stock.
- Management of minimum par stocks for all stock items as per company/lodge guidelines.
- Supervise and participate in the receiving, unloading, and daily issuing of all stock supplies and preparing them for proper storing.
- Follow up on & report ordered items with Arusha Procurement and local suppliers when incorrect orders and quantities are delivered. Also initiate credit procedures for damaged, undelivered, or reordered items to ensure non-duplication.
- Check inventory requisitions from other departments to ensure that item description, quantities requested, quantities issued and authorizations are correct as well as reasonably appropriate.
- Maintain the proper rotation of goods to ensure stock obsolescence by expiry is avoided. The first in first out (FIFO) method of stock control is preferred.
- Overall stock control and performance of daily stock counts for beverage stock in all three camps (i.e. guest room min bars and main area bars) and wine cellar.
- Perform accurate mid-month and month-end stock takes and report stock take variances.
- Investigate stock take variances, complete with supporting documents and reconciliations to account for the variances.
- Supervision of junior store men/team members to ensure they work following the company policies, procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree in procurement, Logistics or Accounts related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in both Swahili and English.
- Good computer skills i.e., good understanding and experience in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Quick to learn.
- PanStrat experience is advantageous.
