Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Export Coordinator to oversee and manage the end-to-end export process, with a primary focus on mineral shipments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of cargo movement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong communication with shipping lines, government agencies, and clients. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient export operations, including documentation handling and freight processing.
Responsibilities:
- Suggest appropriate vessels based on client requirements.
- Submit booking applications according to the client’s selected vessel.
- Ensure cargo is transported to the Container Freight Station (CFS) for repacking.
- Coordinate cargo assessment and obtain necessary endorsements and ICGLR Certificates
from minerals offices.
- Prepare and submit BT and stuffing reports.
- Compile and prepare loading lists for shipments.
- Ensure Delivery Note (DN) approval to proceed with Loading Permit (LP) issuance.
- Request original release documentation from the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
- Coordinate and request port charges from terminal authorities.
- Process payments for port charges and wharfage fees.
- Send shipping instructions to the shipping line to obtain a Draft Bill of Lading (BL) for client
approval.
- Manage amendments to the Draft BL as required.
- Request ocean freight invoices following vessel departure and process related payments.
- Request printing and release of the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) from the shipping line after
client approval.
- Prepare export document packages for mineral endorsement and submit permits to
NASACO.
- Request export delivery permits from the terminal.
- Process telex payments and releases as per client instructions.
- Coordinate preparation and couriering of OBL documents and related payments.
- Ensure timely submission of export permits to NASACO.
- Request and share Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for shipments as needed.
- Request and provide ocean freight quotations for various destinations to clients.
