Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Farm Foreman to manage daily operations at Maroroni Farm, a 100-acre regenerative agriculture project. This is a hands-on role that requires working alongside the team in the field. A willingness to get your hands dirty is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate farmworkers, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and manage sustainable and regenerative farming practices while actively
participating in fieldwork.
- Maintain farm equipment and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
- Digitally map and manage farm operations using tools like MS Word, mapping
software, and farm management applications.
- Maintain accurate records, including crop yields, soil health, and other relevant data.
- Communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili, both orally and in writing.
- Solve on-site problems promptly and creatively to maintain productivity.
- Collaborate with the Farm Manager to execute seasonal planting and harvesting
schedules.
- Embrace living and working in a remote area with dedication to community-driven
agriculture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in regenerative agriculture and crop/soil management.
- Digital proficiency in mapping tools, farm management applications, and
communication software.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with a willingness to lead by example
in the field.
- Technical knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Kiswahili is an advantage.
- Adaptable, hardworking, and passionate about sustainability and community
development.
