Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Plant
Engineer Officer to manage all aspects of the production process, ensuring that
operations run safely, and efficiently, and yield high-quality output. This
role involves closely monitoring and optimising plant performance to achieve
consistent results.
Responsibilities:
- Display independent
and proactive behaviour in assessing and identifying improvement areas in terms
of technology/equipment that need maintenance or replacement.
- Responsible for supervising
plant workers.
- Working with the
technical team and providing needed support to ensure the machines are
maintained and problems fixed for optimal production capacity.
- Responsible for
achieving the production plan for the Plant and ensuring the Raw Materials
& finished products stock levels are up to date to cover customer
requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring
continuous improvement by introducing methods that improve the efficiency of
the operator and the equipment and, in turn, increase productivity.
- Interpreting
plans, drawings, and specifications, and providing advice on engineering
methods and procedures to achieve quality requirements. and production
- Ensuring
engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timelines, and performance are
observed, and implement action plans for improvement of machinery
- Ensure the
production plant is in good working condition at all times
- To report any incidents,
near-misses and injuries happening on the plant during production for the
actions to be taken
- To ensure the wet
scrubber and water filtration system are in working condition and filter
backwash is done daily whenever there is a production
- Responsible for
the management of solid and liquid waste generated from the plant and that they
are stored in the right place and containers and should be labelled.
- Ensuring daily
plant inspection is done and reporting immediately if there is anything that
needs attention
- Ensuring the
production process complies with safety and quality standards provided
- Contribute to Product
Knowledge meetings, in terms of issues to be covered and their presentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
Degree in a Relevant Engineering Field
- Must have a minimum
of 2 years’ work experience.
- Proven accuracy
and organization in their work
- High level of interpersonal
