Job Summary:
Our client is looking for an IT Support Personnel will provide technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of the company’s IT infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support:
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex problems to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
2. Hardware and Software Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and software.
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
3. Network Administration:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of the company’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Monitor network performance and security to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and perform necessary repairs.
4. User Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on new software applications and IT policies.
- Create and update user manuals and documentation.
- Provide guidance on best practices for data security and IT usage.
5. System Security:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption.
- Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
- Conduct regular backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.
6. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software.
- Assist in the procurement of new hardware and software as needed.
- Ensure proper disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment.
7. Project Support:
- Assist in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
