Job Summary:
Our client is looking for an innovative trainer to design training programs for employees who need more corporate training. The trainer is responsible for ensuring that new employees receive onboarding training to prepare them for their role. To be successful as a trainer you must be observant and have excellent analytical skills. A good trainer is able to use alternative teaching methods to cater to various individuals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver training courses on the Travelport systems to customers in classroom and virtual formats, following innovative learning trends.
- Set instructional objectives and design training sessions, courses and training material.
- Select, sequence and structure the training sessions to achieve training objectives.
- Create and update all training support materials to guarantee a high level of quality in all instructional resources, e.g. training modules, Course Guides, Tutor Guides, exercises, presentation slides.
- Use the established evaluation process to ensure the continuing relevance of training to business needs.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in providing consultancy Implementation for selected, existing and new training sessions.
- Act as learning design manager to propose an engaging learning methodology and implement innovative learning trends.
Requirements
- Vast knowledge of the Travelport product suite.
- A relevant qualification in facilitating.
- Prior experience as a trainer or a similar position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to identify gaps in skills
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches
- Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports all team members.
- Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments. Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.
- Contribute to the e-Learning activities to transform and package instructor-led courses into a blended learning approach.
- Must be willing to travel and work long hours when required.
