Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Treasury professional to lead the management, planning, and reporting of daily cash flow activities. This role will involve overseeing the movement of money in and out of the business and tracking project expenditures to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the company's cash position to meet operational needs.
- Prepare and execute cash forecasting and liquidity analysis to ensure adequate funds are
available.
- Administer and manage the company's investment portfolio.
- LC processing, funding, application and management.
- Maintain and update the treasury management system and banking platforms.
- Handle foreign currency transactions and manage currency exchange risk.
- Analyze and optimize cash management processes for efficiency.
- Ensuring that inter-company loans, derivatives and associated interest transactions are
recorded in SAP in line with supporting agreements and trading documentation.
- Monitoring daily activity through the ERP system and various banking portals and
investigating differences in expectations.
- Maintaining the cash flow forecasts across all bank accounts and all currencies.
- Monthly evaluations on the bank accounts.
- Maintain records of authorized signatories for internal controls and other
reporting needs.
- Manage compliance with debt agreements.
- Participate in the year-end financial statement audit by effectively responding to
specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
- Assist with payment processing and bank account journals for assigned entities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all banking partners.
Requirements
- A university degree, in Finance Management, Treasury, Banking or Accounting.
- An MBA and/or a recognized accounting qualification would be an asset.
- A Minimum of seven years experience in treasury and project finance is essential to recommend and implement strategies and provide solutions that benefit the
organization
- Communication skills, coupled with diplomacy, numeracy, and business acumen are
essential.
- Proven interpersonal and people-management skills, complimented by excellent written
and spoken English, are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain clear lines of communication within a wide
network of contacts is necessary.
- Ability to operate within a dynamic project environment with many work-stream/task
interdependencies.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Demonstrate a detail-oriented, organized and analytical approach and ability to work through
complex issues methodically and completely.
- Ability to analyze data (often pulling data from existing source systems), draw appropriate
conclusions and develop development/action plans based on the data analysis completed.
- Financial knowledge including IFRS, Liquidity and Valuations.
- Prepared to be “hands-on” in the team.
- Strong financial skills, as well as a well-organized approach to work, are necessary.
- Able to tackle challenges and manage conflict.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
