Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Chief Engineer/Project Manager to oversee and manage our
construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in engineering and project management, with the
ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure the successful execution of
projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and
efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and
development of construction projects, including defining project scope,
objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Conduct feasibility studies,
risk assessments, and site evaluations to determine project viability.
- Collaborate with architects,
engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project
plans.
- Manage project resources,
including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient utilization
and allocation.
- Coordinate with procurement
teams to source and procure necessary materials and equipment within budgetary
constraints.
- Oversee the execution of
construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and
regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress,
identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective measures as needed
to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site
inspections and quality audits to maintain high standards of workmanship and
safety.
- Provide leadership and
direction to project teams, including engineers, contractors, subcontractors,
and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and
inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and knowledge
sharing.
- Mentor and coach team members
to enhance their skills and professional development.
- Serve as the primary point of
contact for clients and stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues,
and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain
effective communication channels with clients, keeping them informed of project
progress, milestones, and any relevant updates.
- Develop and manage project
budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control measures are implemented
to minimize project overruns.
- Review and approve project
expenditures, invoices, and change orders in accordance with budgetary
guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil
Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree
preferred.
- Proven experience in
construction project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
overseeing large-scale projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
license preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of
construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as relevant building
codes and regulations.
- Strong leadership and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and
negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build and maintain positive
relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proficiency in project
management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under
pressure.
