Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Sales Manager with expertise in the Agri Business sector to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling fertilizers and other agricultural products, along with FMCG goods. The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager will be to ensure the achievement of sales targets while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across multiple branches. This is a field-based role that requires extensive travel and strategic leadership to drive the company's growth in the agricultural market.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and lead the sales team to achieve company targets.
- Oversee the performance of the Sales department, which includes more than 30 depots across the country.
- Ensure efficient control of stocks, receipts, and regulatory compliances at all branches.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and trends.
- Regularly travel to different locations for client meetings, business development, and team management (at least 20 days in a month).
- Prepare comprehensive reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Motivate, train, and mentor the sales team to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Evaluate and adjust sales strategies based on feedback and market dynamics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Agri Business.
- Master's Degree in Sales & Marketing.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of extensive experience in selling fertilizers or other agricultural products, with a preference for candidates with FMCG sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliances and industry standards related to agricultural products.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results under minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software for report generation and analysis.
