Job Summary:
Our client is looking for someone to provide process engineering expertise to the plants and packing teams in order to identify and solve process engineering problems and in so doing, demonstrate improvement in the process and performance measures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Process Engineering Expertise to Line Teams: Assess requirements comprehensively, Conduct in-depth analysis and present strategic recommendations, Actively support the seamless implementation of the recommended solutions.
- Optimize Production Processes:Enhance the efficiency of utilities process outputs through strategic optimization,Provide crucial support for technical projects to ensure their successful execution.
- Facilitate Problem Solving and Decision-Making:Apply problem-solving techniques and principles systematically,Facilitate effective team problem-solving initiatives.
- Work in Teams:Communicate efficiently within teams to foster a collaborative environment,Contribute proactively to personal development within the team dynamic.
- Maintain a Healthy and Safe Working Environment:Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures,Uphold and exceed safety and housekeeping standards to foster a secure work environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND MEASURES:
- Packing Performance:Measure packaging machine efficiency and overall factory efficiency to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilities Performance:Gauge plant efficiency by assessing the performance of utilities within the operational framework.
- Problem Solving:Evaluate the effectiveness of problem-solving efforts through the completion of comprehensive "5 Whys" analyses.
- Health, Safety, and Environment:Measure adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, Assess the maintenance of tools, ensuring they are in good order and identify and rectify unsafe practices to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Higher Diploma or degree in Chemical/Process engineering / Software.
- 5 years previous experience in FMCG.
- Qualified engineer.
- ability to effectively communicate and negotiate.
- Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles.
