Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a Chief Accountant who will be overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reports. Working closely with the Finance Manager, he/she will provide expert guidance and support, contributing to the company's financial strategy and growth objectives. The Chief Accountant will also lead a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and monthly/year-end closings.
- Oversee and manage the timely reconciliation of company bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Monitor and review cash transactions, maintaining accurate records of cash flow and ensuring proper documentation for all cash-related activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the junior accounting team, reviewing their work, offering support, and fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate with factory accountants to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data related to manufacturing processes, inventory management, and cost analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing senior management with valuable insights for decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and presenting actionable insights to senior management.
- Coordinate and assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and procurement, to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage tax compliance and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Stay up to date with accounting principles, industry trends, and changes in relevant laws and regulations.
