Job Summary:
The respective job requires assistance in helping the business make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Computing taxes.
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Attending cash customers.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Invoicing for all branches and managing filing for same.
- Daily EFD & system reconciliation.
- Ensuring cash sales tallies system.
- Preparation of daily cash sales and petty cash report. Handling of petty cash expenses and daily posting of the same.
- Preparation of monthly payroll.
- Responsible for stock take.
- Thorough checking on the upcountry groups to ensure all invoices are sent on a timely basis.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Preparing and filing tax returns e.g., Value Added Tax (VAT), SDL, PAYE, Withholding Tax.
- Managing and updating transaction including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintaining petty cash and filing copies of all invoices, receipts, vouchers and bank slips.
- Additional responsibilities by Senior management.
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in the field.
- Experience in Tally or any account software is preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
- Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
- Ethical behavior.
- Quickly adapts to new environments, fast paced and ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Able to work with tight deadlines.
- Respect should be maintained at all times at the workplace.
