Job Summary;
Our Client, a Container Terminal Company, is seeking applicants from suitably qualified, motivated individuals to fill the position of Project Manager – Civil Engineer in our Engineering Department. The successful applicant will work closely with the Facility Manager to manage civil construction projects and ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget and meeting both quality and safety requirements. Demonstrates visible commitment to safety. Supervise and lead civil projects and day-to-day engineering services.
Responsibilities;
- Manage construction projects from feasibility to hand over to user.
- Prepare feasibility studies for various projects.
- Prepare engineering design and/or design brief for external consultants.
- Prepare cost estimates, method of measurements, bill of quantities, etc. to facilitate the procurement process.
- Prepare engineering documents such as specifications, drawings, plans and schedules.
- Monitor the safety of construction projects and ensure all safety standards are met.
- Coordinate with external parties such as Port Authority for the projects they implement.
- Ensuring all documentation are properly recorded and maintained for each project.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering
- 10+ years' Civil engineering experience
- Must be a Registered Engineer
- Experience and strong understanding of the entire process of civil engineering and building projects
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in Office 365 (MS Office) and EMS systems.
- Knowledge of container terminal business
- Active network of suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- Multi-tasking skills and can work under pressure in a harsh environment
- Analytical and computational skills.
