Job Description
Job Purpose:
- To assist the Training and Development manager in
contributing to the Institute’s strategic and operational goals for the Schools and the development and co-ordination of a comprehensive Training and
Development Programme in accordance with requirements.
- To support and improve the productivity of the organization’s employees, including Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.
- To support
Institution-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives, identify,
and arrange suitable training solutions
for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and
implements effective methods to educate, enhance,performance and recognize performance.
Responsibilities:
The Training and Development Officer will be required to undertake a diversity of duties, which may include:
- Maintain all records of the training and development department.
- Develop training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
This includes onsite or online training materials.
- Maintain and adhere to the institutions training calendar.
- Supervise employee training programs.
- Ensure post training feedback is provided to and completed by all participants.
- Prepare report on training programs based on participant feedback to assist in modifying and improving existing programs.
- Organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events.
- Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources. This also includes sharing event details in advance with all stakeholders.
- Create Press release for training and workshops conducted, including text, photographs required.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
- Any other responsibilities
assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods, including online learning.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
