Job Summary.

Our Client, a Mining Company is looking for a multilingual, experienced Translator to translate text as well as conversations. The translator will be responsible for the accurate translation of documents and emails, as well as attending meetings in which live translations are needed. To be successful as a Translator you should be able to think quickly and have a firm understanding of the field in which you will be translating. An excellent translator should be able to translate information that is contextually accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with colleagues to ensure that translations are true to the original meaning.
  
• Reads through or listens to material in one language, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning.
  
• Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
  
• Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation.
  
• Provides staff with quotes based on project length and level of complexity.
  
• Follows up with staff to ensure satisfaction and understanding.
  
• Translates a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials.
  

Requirements

• Must be fluent in Russian, English and Swahili languages.
  
• Proof of language fluency.
  
• Must have prior experience doing translations.
