Our client in the medical equipment supply industry is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Stores Person to manage the day-to-day operations of the company's stores and inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of medical equipment, spare parts, consumables, and related inventory while ensuring stock accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and efficient inventory control. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of inventory management in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming medical equipment, spare parts, accessories, and consumables against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure all inventory received meets quality standards and report any damaged, expired, or incorrect items immediately.
- Organize and store inventory safely, ensuring proper labeling, categorization, and easy accessibility.
- Issue stock to internal departments and customers in accordance with approved requisitions and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by recording all stock receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments within the inventory management system.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory exercises while investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low stock, slow-moving items, and replenishment requirements.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive medical equipment and consumables in line with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the stores always.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, and reconciliation reports as required by management.
- Coordinate with the Procurement, Logistics, and Sales teams to ensure timely availability and dispatch of inventory.
- Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and dispatching goods while ensuring products are securely handled.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Safeguard company assets by maintaining proper security and control of inventory.
- Perform any other store-related duties assigned by management.
