Our client, a leading company in the Mining industry, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow its commercial operations across Tanzania and the wider East African region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, expanding market share, managing key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company’s products and solutions. Experience within industrial, construction, building materials, mining support services, or gypsum board products will be highly preferred.
Responsibilties:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining, construction, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients, contractors, distributors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Lead the sales team in prospecting, client acquisition, account management, and business development activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, pricing, and terms with customers.
- Coordinate with operations, production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to strengthen business relationships.
- Ensure effective management of sales pipelines, customer databases, and CRM systems.
- Develop and execute channel sales strategies through distributors, dealers, and strategic partners where applicable.
- Monitor sales performance KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, trade shows, and networking forums.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and increased operational efficiency within the sales function.
