Job Summary:
Our client, AK Transport, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSEQ Officer (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) to oversee and enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards across its flatbed and tanker operations. The role focuses on minimizing operational risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving driver safety, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. The ideal candidate is vigilant, hands-on, and experienced in managing HSE functions within a transport or logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct regular inspections of trucks, yard, and workshop to ensure compliance
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations
- Monitor driver behavior and enforce road safety standards
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate HSEQ records, reports, and documentation
- Conduct safety training sessions, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Ensure proper use and compliance of PPE across all operations
- Monitor environmental compliance and promote sustainable practices
- Track and report safety performance metrics and KPIs
