Job Summary
Our Client, an Agricultural Company, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager who will be focused on Construction to lead procurement operations
for complex infrastructure and civil works projects. This role is ideal for a
highly skilled procurement professional with at least 10 years’ experience in managing large-scale EPC/EPCM construction procurement processes.
Responsibilities;
- Manage
end-to-end procurement lifecycle: planning, tendering, contract
negotiation, sourcing, and performance evaluation.
- Procure
civil works contracts, structural steel, prefab infrastructure, concrete,
building materials, site services, and rental machinery.
- Oversee
subcontractor qualification, pricing control, payment scheduling, and
framework agreements.
- Collaborate
with construction managers to forecast material demand and prevent delays.
- Monitor
construction progress and dynamically adjust procurement strategies.
- Onboard
and supervise local contractors ensuring compliance with labor, safety,
and technical regulations.
- Handle
procurement logistics including construction yard setup and site delivery
schedules.
- Ensure
compliance with internal policies, donor/government requirements, and
legal frameworks.
- Oversee
digital procurement tools and documentation systems.
- Lead
internal/external audits and reporting processes.
- Supervise
and mentor junior procurement staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related
field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum
of 10 years' experience in procurement, with
demonstrated field execution in large infrastructure or EPC/EPCM projects.
- Strong
experience in construction-related procurement including materials,
contracts, and contractor management.
- Solid
understanding of procurement regulations, labor laws, and safety
standards.
- Excellent
negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency
in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Strong
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience
working in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Professional
certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
